The problem this solves
Some people purchased PlanCoach in the Chinese App Store because its price was lower, while their everyday App Store account belongs to another region. Switching accounts repeatedly is inconvenient.
From 2.13.2, you can link a membership to an account signed into PlanCoach. Membership access can then follow your in-app account rather than requiring the purchasing App Store account every time.
How to link it
First, make sure the App Store is signed into the Apple Account originally used to buy PlanCoach, so the app can recognize the purchase.
Open Settings → Account and sign in.
After signing in, open the membership ownership entry.
Tap Link membership to this account to complete the link.
Trial-period note
PlanCoach did not originally have accounts or cross-region membership linking. Adding this touches the app, backend, purchase system and database, so it was introduced as a trial rather than a permanent promise.
At the time this article was published, the planned observation period was one to two months, approximately until November 2026. The implementation could be rolled back during that period, but your purchased membership would remain yours in either case.
